If you’re planning your visit to Kansas City and you’re a big basketball fan, you can’t miss The College Basketball Experience and you have to visit the amazing Sprint Center as well. On the one hand, the College Basketball Experience makes for a high-energy day where basketball fans can experience college basketball in the flesh and on the other hand, you have an amazing multi-use arena that is well worth your visit!
The College Basketball Experience is an interactive facility that allows fans to challenge their basketball skills and to learn a bit more about all the amazing players, coaches, teams and media personalities that have made basketball history. The National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame will educate you on the contributions of incredible people that have played a role in the greatness of basketball.
In fact, the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame includes people deserving of recognition and praise but that were left out of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame, which is an enormous sports library and it also has a focus on preserving basketball history. If you’ve already visited the Naismith, then you really have to visit The National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame to get a more complete knowledge. Sometimes amazing people are left unrecognized by major organizations, but they still accomplished great things and it’s important to know what their contribution was.
One of the many activities that you’ll enjoy with your friends and family at the College Basketball Experience is walking hrough the arena tunnel just like the players and feel the excitement they must feel everytime they walk to the court. The tunnel is full of graphics and projected images of players, coaches, fans, cheerleaders, and more.
When you get to the Center Court you’ll be able to free play and practice your skills. If you’re traveling with children, there’s also a Kid’s Court where children of ages 2-9 can shoot some hoops with equipement that’s specially made for them. If you think you’re good at commentating games, you’ll be allowed to role-play on a desk just like the ESPNU desk and you’ll be able to record your performance to take home. There’s also guided video challenges to see if your basketball skills are up to beat, 3-point shooter challenges, and a whole lot more!
